Welcoming Wreaths

There is an old saying "you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear", well, I think the same can be said about a front door.

A front door is the welcoming place and entrance to your home. It can set the mood for what's inside; reflecting your decorating tastes, which are all an outer expression of your personality. You can create a grand entrance by painting your doors in a heavy gloss and framing it with symmetrical plantings of topiary trees or fragrant gardenias, or for a more warm and casual feel, rustic iron doors surrounded with old vintage tubs with mismatched plantings and collections of old, rustic wares will bring charm and character to your home entrance.

For this reason the humble front door is also a first impression for an event or celebration. We all take the time to adorn our doors at Christmas, hanging wreaths to share joy and love to all, so why not continue this welcome by hanging a wreath up at other times of the year? Be inspired by nature, clustering succulents with groupings of shells, or autumn berries with rustic twigs and pinecones.

Autumn Wreath

At AE we love custom making wreaths for special occasions or to celebrate the change of season. As you can imagine our popular wreaths at the moment are for Easter, however as Mother's Day draws closer why not consider the gift of a wreath for your mum and personalise it by hanging her initials off it.

This is also a great idea for children's birthday parties or babyshowers, where you can hang little booties or the baby's name off the wreath.

Use colours or the theme of your party to decorate your wreath and set the theme for the special occasion you are about to share... and make sure you top it off by wearing your best shoes.
